Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
It is best to avoid very light coloured clothing as your portrait will be set against a white backdrop with bright studio lighting, which can cause problems as to shape definition etc. However this is personal taste and there is no restriction on what you wear, as long as you feel happy and comfortable.
Try to coordinate colours and style with the rest of your group. (i.e. casual or smart)
It is advisable for children to avoid wearing vests, as these can be seen underneath the clothes. Remember to remove labels from the bottoms of the shoes and ensure they are clean. With babies think about whether the Nappies will be visible in the photographs. With Girls, it’s a good idea to either cover with tights, pants or a longer dress etc.
How long will the session take?
Each session should take no more than an hour. Children tend to have a shorter attention span and on rare occasions it can run on for a little longer!
